Jack White Doing Good Deeds...
July 29th, 2013
Earlier this year, White prevented the foreclosure of Detroit’s Masonic Temple after paying off $142,000 in back taxes. Now, he’s contributed $200,000 to the National Recording Preservation Foundation. What is the NRPF? It's “is a public/private partnership established to preserve and make accessible the recorded sounds of the United States… The NRPF is uniquely positioned to raise the necessary funds, marshal the expertise of skilled professionals, and reach out to the recorded sound community to build support for preserving our nation’s audio treasures.”
To go along with his financial contribution, White is on the board of directors for the NRPF, where he’s listed as a musician, producer and label owner.
