Bonnaroo: It's happening!

June 14th, 2013

It's day two! And I just talked with Foals, so it's starting off very nicely.

But about yesterday. We arrived on site around 4pm, just in time to interview Father John Misty in the backstage Media Compound. They always take such good care of us at Bonnaroo, reserving tour buses for media folks, complete with AIR CONDITIONING (bless their hearts), and water and other adult refreshments. Father John Misty was amazingly pleasant. We talked about his new fragrance ("Innocence," by Misty... for real), and his sexy spring cruise earlier this year.

We then ran into our friend Kevin from Walk The Moon, just hanging out backstage. Always a sweetheart, he knows that he's always welcome at Cd1025.

As we were listening to Paul McCartney soundcheck, we met up with Tim from the Polyphonic Spree. He's kept busy over the years, but is finally releasing a new Polyphonic Spree album later this summer. Tune in during my shift tomorrow for the full interview.

Japandroids KILLED IT last night (of course they would), and Brad and I discovered a great new band called Deap Vally. Two ladies, Black Keys style bluesy rock n roll.

Off to enjoy the sunshine. Keep and eye on my facebook and twitter and instagram for updates, and I'll check in again with you tomorrow. Xoxo
