Exhibit: Sacrafice + Bliss: Aurora Robson

December 11th, 2012

Artist Aurora Robson finds creative influence in what most people cast aside. An advocate for plastic pollution awareness, Robson disrupts the waste stream by using discarded materials to magnify her message! Her primary tools are plastic bottles and caps when creating her intricate, creative and energetic art. While Robson has exhibited internationally in museums, galleries and public spaces, "Sacrafices + Bliss" is the first exhibition of her work in a Botanical Setting as well as the largest to date! Come witness these famous sculptures such as Kamilo, a four and a half foot tall sculpture crafted from plastic debri washed ashore from the beaches of southern Hawaii. This educational and innovative exhibit offers a chance to be amazed, inspired and offers awareness all within this one exhibit. Robson's intricate works are on display at the Franklin Park Conservatory now until April 28th! Don't miss out on Robson's capitivating sculptures, instillations and collages as well as your chance to learn about plastic pollution and how the Conservatory and community are becoming more environmentally sustainable!
