First song I remember hearing

"American Idiot"- Green Day
I was in Kindergarten and mother was desperately trying to find a clean version so I could listen to this song, after many hours she found one and burned it onto a CD and I immediately popped it into my computer in my room and turned my speakers up and started jamming (while mouthing all the curse words I couldn’t say.

First Concert

Wilco at Weigel Hall
I must’ve been in the second or third grade, great show, until I fell asleep halfway through “I Am Trying To Break Your Heart”

Song that reminds me of my teen years

“R U Mine?”- Arctic Monkeys
While still being in my teen years, this song could be treated as an anthem. I couldn’t think of any other song that gets me moving and as pumped as this song does.

The first song I fell in love with

“Murder in the City”- The Avett Brothers
Something about two bearded brothers sitting in a room, looking depressed, and singing a song about getting killed on tour spoke to 9 year old me (Still does)

The song that reminds me of being in love

“Flume” –Bon Iver
Maybe it’s the falsetto vocals, or the fact that “love is all maroon” to him, but it motivates me and reminds me of love at the same time.

Favorite Movie Soundtrack/Song

“Miss Misery”- Elliot Smith
While everything Elliot Smith does for that soundtrack is phenomenal, this track is one of my favorite Elliot tracks ever.

The first album I bought

“White Blood Cells” – The White Stripes
I remember unwrapping the first CD I bought for myself and blasting “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground” and that is the day that I found the mad scientist known as Jack White.

The band I would want to join

Travel to shows such as South by Southwest while dressed in drag? Sign me up.

The song that makes me cry

“How Could You Leave Us”- NF
I swear, every time I listen to this song it sends chills throughout my entire body.

The song that makes me instantly smile

“Don’t Break The Needle” – J Roddy Walston and The Business
Always gets me pumped and makes my head hurt because I head bang too hard (No regrets)

The song that makes me dance

“River”- Bishop Briggs
Insanely catchy, don’t send help

My karaoke song

“Death of a Bachelor” –Panic! At The Disco
Who knew mixing Frank Sinatra vocals with horns and trap instrumentals would work so well?

Song I have on repeat right now

“Marrow” –Ezra Vine
Yet another song that gives me chills, however this song just inspires me to go and write my own songs for four hours without stopping for breaks.

The song I want played at my funeral

“Lover, You Should’ve Come Over” – Jeff Buckley
I mean when else would I get to tug at peoples heartstrings?
