First/Most Memorable Concert

Michael Jackson "Victory" tour at Cleveland Municipal Stadium (1984). I was a HUGE Michael Jackson fan and my parents surprised me and my older sister with tickets. The day of the show, they packed us in the car and when we asked where we were going, they would reply "we're going bananas". We didn't know we were going to the Michael Jackson concert until we got to the stadium - which was probably for the best because I likely would have DIED from excitement during the hour ride up to Cleveland if I had known beforehand.

Song that reminds you of your teen years

Depeche Mode's "In Your Room". I listened to pop music as a child but my high school years coincided with the rise of "grunge" and alternative I started getting into bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, The Violent Femmes, Stone Temple Pilots, Depeche Mode, etc. You know, bands that we play on CD102.5 every day :) I had a Sony discman that I plugged into the cassette player of my first car and I would play DM's "Songs of Faith and Devotion" pretty much on repeat.

The First Song I Fell In Love With

Looking back, I'm not sure that I was IN LOVE with this song but I was certainly infatuated with it..."The Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston. I remember watching a local TV video program and setting up a tape recorder by the TV so that I could record it onto cassette. That was how you did it back in the day before the interwebs and iTunes!

The Song That Reminds You of being in Love

I'd have to say Counting Crows' "Anna Begins" off of their album "August and Everything After" (which is a fantastic album, by the way). There's just something about the give and take of it that feels like love, or at least reminds me of first love.

Favorite Movie Soundtrack/Song

ohhhh, that's a tough one. I remember wearing out the "Reality Bites" soundtrack, so I'd probably have to say "Stay" by Lisa Loeb. I used to love to sing along to that one...ok, I still do.

The First Album I Bought

I had a ton of records and cassettes as a kid but the first CDs I remember buying on my own were Nine Inch Nails' "Pretty Hate Machine" and Violent Femmes "Violent Femmes".

The Band You Would Want to Join

The Rolling Stones. I don't even know how those guys have the energy they do and they are almost twice my age. To have that kind of longevity, relevance & influence is pretty amazing.

The Song that makes me cry

"No One's Gonna Love You" by Band of Horses. I remember seeing them perform this song live in our CD102.5 Big Room and it was stripped down and raw and just gorgeous. I think I told everyone that my allergies were acting up but it's possible that I just touched by the performance.

The Song that makes me instantly smile

The Sundays "Summertime". I don't know if it's Harriet Wheeler's voice or the melody or what, but this song just feels like a good mood to me. I think this song is best enjoyed on a warm spring day, with the windows down.

The Song That Makes Me Dance

Robyn's "Call Your Girlfriend". That song is my jam! I remember when the video came out I joked that I was going to learn that dance routine and perform it at our Holiday party. There's still time...:)

My Karaoke Song

I love to sing Elvis' "Suspicious Minds". He's the King and he has a ton of great songs but there's just something about this song that I love.

Song I have on Repeat right now

I was just telling Tom Butler at our CD102.5 Fall Fest that I am in love with The Head and the Heart's new song "All We Ever Knew". I can't get enough of it right now!

The Song I Want Played At My Funeral

"(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult...why not? I don't want to pick some somber song and I think it would be appropriate for me to go out with a smirk and a chuckle.
