The First Song I Remember Hearing

“Video Killed the Radio Star” by The Buggles. There’s footage somewhere of me at age 6 with a walkman running around my living room dancing to it.

First/Most Memorable Concert

My first concert was John Mayer & Maroon 5 in July of 2004 at Germain Amphitheatre. “Your Body Is A Wonderland” is the first song I can remember knowing all the words to, so it was really memorable to see it live!

Song that reminds you of your teen years

“Dear Maria, Count Me In” by All Time Low. “Put Up Or Shut Up” is one of the first albums I really got into then.

The First Song I Fell In Love With

Outside of John Mayer stuff, it was “Satellite” by Guster! My family used to go to Pennsylvania every once in a while, and we would rent Guster CDs from the local library and sing to them the whole way there. That song was my favorite by them.

The Song That Reminds You of being in Love

“Cigarettes” by Noah Gundersen. The lyrics provide such a cool metaphor and it’s really sweet and honest.

Favorite Movie Soundtrack/Song

Bon Iver & St. Vincent’s “Roslyn” for Twilight: New Moon. No, I’m not embarrassed. That song is a BOP.

The First Album I Bought

Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge by My Chemical Romance, because my brothers really got me into them and I wanted my own copy of that album.

The Band You Would Want to Join

Bikini Kill! It would have been an honor.

The Song that makes me cry

“Baby” by Born Without Bones. Something about the sound of it just gets me super nostalgic and emotional. Love the guitar!

The Song that makes me instantly smile

It’s kind of silly, but The Monster Mash…only because when I was really little, I had a bizarre fear of it. I would cry every time it came on the radio. Now, every Halloween, I get a voicemail from my dad of it blaring over the speakers and my whole family singing along.

The Song That Makes Me Dance

Shamelessly…Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.” Because no matter how absolutely awful it is, it’s still so dang catchy.

My Karaoke Song

Hall & Oates “Private Eyes”. Hands down.

Song I have on Repeat right now

“Gooey” by Glass Animals for sure! Absolutely loving their album.

The Song I Want Played At My Funeral

Is it cliché to say “Welcome to the Black Parade?” Whatever.
