SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

CD102.5 account executives are extraordinarily talented people who are passionate, insightful, creative, ambitious, competitive, cooperative, and fearless. CD102.5 account executives use sales strategies to develop new business and to retain existing accounts. Account executives generate insightful solutions for our clients and must be able to effectively communicate those solutions to our clients. CD102.5 account executives must meet and exceed goals and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in prospecting and aggressively seeking new clientele by networking, cold-calling, canvassing, referrals, and other means.

  • Creative—possess the ability to design, create, and deliver customized advertising proposals and presentations
  • Present client solutions by building rapport and delivering results through the power of radioGain referrals by providing support, information, guidance, and qualitative research and by recommending new opportunities for profit and/or service improvements
  • Deliver exceptional client service
  • Strong negotiation skills, a passion to succeed, and a competitive spirit
  • Exceptional organizational and process-management skills
  • Goal-oriented: must be dedicated to meeting and exceeding goals

 

Profile            

  • At least two years of outside sales experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience growing and maintaining a robust sales funnel
  • Recognized top sales performer with a track record of over-achieving
  • Strong sales acumen and proficiency in all phases of the sales cycle, proactive outbound phone sales, and new account development
  • Ability to perform independently in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; outgoing, sociable, and charismatic
  • Media sales experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

Sales Intern

CD102.5 is looking for the perfect Sales Intern to assist our rock star Sales Team. Interested in gaining valuable experience in Radio and Digital Sales and hoping to pursue it as a career? Then you may be who we’re looking for!

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Assist account executives on client maintenance by gaining an understanding of the client’s goals, objectives, and processes in addition to key market and consumer trends.
  • Possess the ability to help design, create, and deliver customized advertising proposals and presentations.
  • Accompany account executives on sales calls and assist in prospecting potential clients.
  • Set appointments for account executives.
  • Gather research information for sales proposals.
  • Overall, aiding in every aspect of Radio and Digital Sales.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be available for 10-15 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited university.
  • Be in good academic standing.
  • Be organized and able to meet deadlines; be a self-starter.
  • Be passionate, insightful, ambitious, cooperative, and focused.
  • Have strong professional writing and conversational skills to communicate information clearly and efficiently.
  • Comply with Company policies & procedures.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients.
  • Have a proven ability to handle stress.
  • Be familiar with Microsoft Office and able to learn new programs quickly.

CD102.5 Scene Team (PROMOTIONS INTERNS)

CD102.5 is looking for Interns. If you have an outgoing personality, flexible schedule and are willing to work hard, then WWCD wants you!

We are looking for hard-working, ambitious college students willing to spend their time in a fast-paced, exciting and unique environment, learning what it takes to succeed in radio. Interns will be asked to dedicate 5-15 hours per week to the Promotion & Marketing department for CD102.5 and will be exposed to programming and on-air aspects of the radio station. Interns will be responsible for various office duties such as preparing for station events, database entry, PSA and commercial spot writing, social media updates, assisting with station newsletter, general website updates and assisting department staff with various needs. On-site responsibilities will include execution of station events, concerts, movie premieres, street festivals and various sales promotions.

A major in Radio is not a requirement, but a friendly, outgoing, hard-working personality is absolutely necessary. The internship is unpaid. PROGRAMMING INTERNS

Department: Programming
Hours: Minimum of 10 hours per week
Description: WWCD Programming intern will learn the day-to-day inner workings of a radio station’s Programming Department including, but not limited to: music, air staff and production.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist in Music Library, Commercial Production and Research projects.
  • Programming Department operations support.
  • Assist with FCC compliance procedures.
  • Student must be enrolled in a college or university and a strong interest in area of radio broadcasting
  • Computer proficiency is a must.
  • Have valid drivers license with excellent driving record.
  • Be outgoing, enthusiastic and tireless in the pursuit to learn about the radio broadcast industry.
