Looking Forward To New Music, 2019

January 2nd, 2019

Vampire Weekend

At Lollapalooza this past summer, Vampire Weekend told us the new album was done! They even played some new music (it sounded great). A spring/summer release would be perfect, as they tend to bring the warm weather vibes.

The Distillers

They released thier first song in 15 YEARS in 2018, and a full length is on the way! Brody made an Instagram post confirming that they'll be working on the album this April.

This will be Foals first release since 2015, and thier first album without founding bassist Walter Gervers, who left the group in 2018. An exact release date is unknown, but NME has confirmed a 2019 release.

The Raconteurs

AND they'll be touring in 2019. This is my prefered Jack White project and the new songs sound great. Eager to hear more.

The Hives?

I haven't seen confirmation on if a new album is in the works, but they're playing Sonic Temple in Columbus this May. So, fingers crossed! Rock n roll needs The Hives more than ever right now.

Tame Impala

In June, Kevin Parker said they'd have a record ready to go in 2019. Tame Impala are solid and inventive, and it's been three and a half years since new stuff. So I'll say it louder and simpler-- NEW TAME IMPALA, PLEASE.
